Republican senators report new record fundraising haul in 2021

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), a campaign arm of the Senate Republicans, made an off-year record-breaking fundraising haul of $104.8 million in 2021.

According to Breitbart, the NRSC released the figure in an announcement on Wednesday, Jan. 14, in which the GOP senators touted their ability to raise funds and beat off-year records for the NRSC and their counterpart—Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC).

The haul includes $28.6 million raised in last year’s fourth quarter and $11.2 million raised in December alone.

The committee received funds from 169,444 first-time donors and roughly 443,000 unique donors with more than two million donations in 2021. They also had 1,883,636 of the 2021 donations under $200.

The NRSC set itself up to have a sizeable war chest with $32.7 million cash on hand and zero debt before the midterm election in 2022.

“This @NRSC has smashed fundraising records all cycle, and we have @chuckschumer and the radical @SenateDems to thank,” the committee’s chairman Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), said in a tweet.

“The American people are rejecting the Democrats’ reckless agenda, and come November, they will reject them at the ballot box,” he added.

In a statement attached to his tweet, Scott said that voters are rejecting the Democrats whose extreme agenda are focused on abolishing the filibuster, eliminating voter ID requirements, and reckless spending sprees instead of securing the border, fixing the supply chain, and lowering the cost of everyday goods for American families.

Meanwhile, voters “are turning to Republicans because we are the party of solutions and will fight to ensure their success.”

“Senate Republicans will win this November, and we are ready to fix the disaster the Democrats have created,” Scott added.
