Now, We Are Breaking Up (2021) Review

Review

‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ is written as ‘farewell’ and read as ‘love’, which is sweet, salty, spicy, and bittersweet parting actual. Expectations are high with the single melodrama that will color the small screen this fall.

The teaser poster released on this day first contains the exciting melodramatic chemistry of the two main characters, Song Hye-Kyo (as Ha Young-Eun) and Jang Ki-Yong (Yoon Jae-Guk). In addition, the process of love is arranged in the reverse order, maximizing the happiness of love.

The first teaser poster reminds me of ‘break up’. A black-and-white photo of Song Hye-Kyo as if someone was on it, and two couplings lying around. All of them are images that remind me of ‘farewell’. However, the copy on the poster is “Our love is in progress”. Through this, it can be guessed that the breakup in the play is not a ‘parting’ of turning around, but one of the ‘processes of love’.

The second teaser poster hints at the accumulated memories. The teaser poster contains a picture of Song Hye-Kyo and Jang Ki-Yong smiling broadly while holding her hand. There is a sense of comfort and tenderness between the two of them. Every moment you spend with your loved one becomes a memory, and your happiness grows that much.

The final teaser poster shows the beginning of a fluttering love. In the poster, Jang Ki-Yong is taking a picture of his lover Song Hye-Kyo in the play. In Jang Ki-Yong’s face holding the camera, you can feel her heart-pounding excitement, and in Song Hye-Kyo’s eyes in front of the camera, you can feel the shy trembling. It is worth to curious about the beginning of the dazzling love that the two draw.

The most anticipated drama in the second half of 2021, SBS’ Friday-Saturday drama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ (Written by Jane/Director Lee Gil-bok/Creator Line & Kang Eun-Kyung/Producer Samhwa Networks, UAA/hereafter ‘Jihejung’) will be broadcasted for the first time on November 12. It is the only melodrama that will give viewers a deep emotion this fall, and it is gathering hot topics even before the broadcast.

Actor Song Hye-Kyo (as Ha Young-Eun) is at the center of the public’s expectations for ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’. In the play, Song Hye-Kyo takes on the role of Ha Young-Eun, the female lead. Ha Young-Eun, the head of the design team at a fashion company, is a cold-hearted realist and a smart stability-first. Beautiful and sensual, she is a professional in work and love. Song Hye-Kyo is expected to show both the appearance of a career woman and the real love of a woman in her 30s through ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’.

In her photos, Song Hye-Kyo is the ‘Ha Young-Eun’ character who loves her job and does her best in everything she does. With her stills alone, the true value of actress Song Hye-Kyo, who makes her character her own, is felt. Also, the presence of her Song Hye-Kyo makes her admire. She showed off a sensual styling with both splendor and convenience, befitting the character’s job as a design team leader at a fashion company. As actress Song Hye-Kyo made the best choice for both the work and the character, ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ is highly anticipated.

Both her work and her life, Young Eun has never really been bothered by the fact that others might see her as cold. But when she meets Yoon Jae Guk, a popular freelance fashion photographer, things take an unexpected turn. Jang Ki-Yong takes on the role of the male lead, Yoon Jae-Guk. Jaeguk is a hot freelance fashion photographer. He has his intelligence, his wealth, and his natural looks. He is cool and trendy even in front of love. The living definition of the perfect man, Jae Guk is wealthy, handsome, and intelligent, but that’s not what catches Young Eun’s attention. There’s something more to Jae Kook that Young Eun just can’t seem to ignore.

In the stills cut in the video, Song Hye-Kyo and Jang Ki-Yong were included. The two looked at each other under umbrellas together in the rain. I felt a subtle thrill. The drama ‘Now, We Are Breaking Up’ is showing a warm response.
